Too bad I'm still at the loading screen with 14% and 302 files more to load :\

You should use the -image command so your party won't get angry at you for loading super slow.

I actually like the idea of every classes male/female part, coming with the same skill set.
Requires a bit more then using the Uber Leet skill bars.

It's pretty fun, though I wouldn't rate the warrior bar as high as some people have. Cripslash, gash, enraging, bulls, and heal sig are nice. Tigerstance is so-so as far as IAS goes (20 sec recharge FTL), and shieldbash on a warrior? Well, actually its pretty good. Never seen so many sins try and jump the warrior first up before in pvp. And S+M? Am I meant to spike people down after cripslash -> gash with S+M? Sounds kinky, but I'd rather final thrust. Actually, that sounds kinky too

poor balance ftfl.
I think they should have allowed players several templates of 5-6 skills, with the last 2-3 skills choosable by players.
Attributes should be locked in for maybe the first 130 points?
I dunno.

Great event!!
Pretty nice It's pretty fun. It turns out to be much better than expected.
I only wish there can be more emphasis on shrine capping than mindless killing 20. Dervishes, Elementalists, and Rangers are also bit too strong.
The "free" 15^50 weapons are nice too. Wish we can keep those after the event

i love the idea of the set skill bars. i think it adds a more balanced field to casual PvP, because some of the builds in RA/TA (which i consider casual PvP) are NOT pretty. that being said, the skill bars in the costume brawl could have been better lol.

I like it, been playing quite a lot. It's like hero battles, only with a greater variety of character builds

It's fun.
And looking at some comments here, I realized why ANet put so much grind in the game = newcomers want it and love it.
Seriously, I don't remember 2 years ago that someone would come and say "what's the point of snowball arena, I have all unlocked and there are no titles".
It seems like "fun" has become forgotten..

The addition of the costume brawl to this years Halloween Event has “In my opinion” been a great addition. It actually has kept my attention. I have done no mindless farming and have just enjoyed the Brawl. The set skill bars for all professions seems to add a new twist to RA. I would be pleased if they kept it on one of the Isles. Granted they could take away the costume part.

Costume Brawl isn't my style at all.
Dressing up characters as Herohench as an excuse to enforce bad cookie-cutter builds isn't my idea of fun.
Not only that, but though I might like Anton's outfit... I've never been able to get any "Falling" attack skill to connect without an IAS even with the knockdown and falling skill chained to activate one after the other.... so I invariably fail at using his build (despite trying several times).
I'd sooner play Polymock, to be honest... and I don't like that either.

Tried mesmer and assassin and they're both pretty fun. 24-win streak on the sin (pro tip: cover enchantment), and it was cool playing with AoD - which is the perfect elite for shrine capping/ganking. I did notice that my opponents were usually too slow with their defense. Once horns of the ox hits (about 1.5 seconds after teleport), Shield Bash/Steam/etc won't save you. Although Empathy might.
The problems I have with it are that the gamer points are way too slow for the time it takes, and the way the mesmer skill bar is set up makes no sense at all. I had to keep rearranging it every match. Just to have it reset again.

For my first exposure to PvP (even in this form), I enjoy it a fair bit. I might just pop in for a couple more hours of it tonight. I need to possibly re-order the skill bar is possible or learn just where the ones I want at any given point are...
It gets a Win button from me for fun.

I'd avoid using your combo on running targets. You can "hit" people with horns of the ox while they are running away. You'll then have to run to catch up with them with them to hit them with falling lotus. By that time, they might get up.
Point is kiting = good for them, bad for you.
PS darkdreamer, the reason eles are hitting you with steam after horns of the ox is because that is how long it takes them to cast. Basically, if an ele hits you with SF BEFORE you jump in with AoD, he has time to steam you before you get horns off. If he has to cast SF after you jump in, there won't be time to get steam off (either it will be cast after twisting and promptly removed with signet of malice or it will be interupted by the kd of horns).

personally I'm enjoying it so far, though I've only played my rit and para there so far.
Ended up on a 21 game winning streak with my para, it's all about working with your team...at least when your a para, lol but if you're a para not working with your team then you shouldn't have signed on in the first place
but really, overall I like the game, the rock/paper/scissors thing is actually pretty fun. I just wish there was something that could be done about spawn camping, I was just feeling bad when the other team was 2 or more guys down and couldn't do anything against us, idk both sides just wanted it to be over quickly
